Six strategies for successful team creation

The following six strategies for
successful team creation are simple
yet solid and will catapult your team from performers to super- performers.

1. Recruit diverse talent - be
open to ideas that may not align with your thought process. This ensures a more dynamic discourse, which potentially leads to more
robust output.

2. Observe team dynamics -
diagnosis personality and learning style of each team member. This allows the leader to delegate tasks more efficiently.

3. Develop a communication
strategy - group cohesiveness
and efficacy is achieved through this plan. Moreover, it encourages equalization of actual and potential
performance.

4. Mandate socialization - create
a policy whereby new members
are exposed to the department's purpose, vision, and objectives through the experiences of senior
members.

5. Create an entrepreneurial
spirit - encourage team members to be independent, critical thinkers when problem solving. This minimizes group think and maximizes creativity.

6. Institute an open-door policy
- support ideas, encourage communication, force critical
thinking.

All elements are essential to the
success of team creation and team
cohesiveness. However, it is
incumbent upon the leader to
actually manage and lead the team
to a successful outcome.
